Hiking

The well marked hiking trails provides a large variation of mixed forest and beautiful rolling  landscape. There are some breathtaking panoramas to enjoy on your journey offering the hiker every possible adventure they can imagine. You can get maps of the hiking trails in the campsites Service Office. Guided hiking can also be booked with a local hiking guide.

Bigge-Elements

We offer guided canoe tours on the Biggesee for families, groups, schools and businesses.
After paddling technique briefing, you will be taken on one of the set routes; a tour usually takes 2.5 to 3 hours.

We organise Geocaching treasure hunts with GPS navigation, compass and maps. Along the way you will encounter many adventures and tricky tasks to deal with. Different topics are offered depending on age and interest.

The Sauerlands hilly landscape invites you to experience walking through forests meadows and fields. We plan trekking tours to your taste, from short easy walks up to steep hilly climbs with overnight stays. We offer various outdoor climbing experiences in different settings.

Inline-Skating

Explore the diversity of the holiday region Biggesee. On well developed roads and paths around Lake Bigge advanced skaters and beginners can discover wonderful skating conditions.

Other meeting places for skating enthusiasts are the 800 meter skating track which can be found behind the main train station in Olpe, or the skating rink at the Attendorner Rundturnhalle. The admission to all skate parks is free.

Only a few minutes away from the Biggesee reservoir you’ll find an 18 hole golf course, the Golfclub Repetal Südsauerland e.V. Set in the most beautiful surroundings, with typical Sauerland framework buildings, the course offers ambitious golfers 18 stunning fairways and greens embedded in a delightful wooded landscape with variable slopes for a demanding round. The public 6 hole course offers everyone from beginners to experienced golfers the opportunity to learn or improve the game of golf.

Sailing

Lake Biggesee, Westphalia’s largest reservoir, is about 20 kilometers long and offers a huge range of water sports. Due to the size of the Lake sailing is especially popular. In the campsite Four Seasons – Camping Biggesee sailing enthusiasts can rent a mooring bay without club membership;  there are season sites and tourists are always welcome.

Sailing enthusiasts who do not require permanent mooring for their sailboat will find sufficient boat slips around Lake Bigge.

Enjoy the immense variety of underwater life and go on an unforgettable expedition. For all diving equipment and training needs Biggesee Diving School is the place to contact during your stay. In the onsite diving shop you will find all leading brands and if required, inspections and repairs plus tank refills are also available. The diving school Biggesee conforms to PADI and ANDI and provides accompanied dives in the designated diving areas.
